In addition to AI literacy offerings, Indiana University provides several specialized courses designed for educators, instructional designers, and anyone interested in learning more about generative AI. Discover more about each course below.

GenAI for Instructional Design

GenAI for Instructional Design is a free, 10-hour course that explores how generative AI can support course design, content development, multimedia creation, assessment development, and project management. Participants learn practical strategies for integrating AI into instructional design through hands-on examples and a case study featuring the creation of IU's GenAI 101 course.

GenAI 101: Behind the Scenes

GenAI 101: Behind the Scenes is a two-hour course that takes a deeper look at how generative AI works and how IU faculty, instructional designers, and multimedia experts used AI to develop the award-winning GenAI 101 course. Through real-world examples, project artifacts, and prompt demonstrations, learners gain a better understanding of the concepts that power today's AI tools.

GenAI for K-12 Educators

GenAI for K-12 Educators is a free course designed to help teachers begin using AI as a planning partner, assessment designer, and feedback assistant while maintaining instructional integrity and ethical responsibility. The course also counts toward Professional Growth Plan points for Indiana educators.
